Aging in the 21st Century

The Association of Health Care Journalists is hosting “Aging in the 21st Century,” an event for Health Journalists and non-health journalists alike. The event will take place October 16th and 17th at the University of Miami’s School of Communication. Journalists who attend will hear great speakers and gather some great health-related story ideas. Panels will focus on demographics, aging issues in ethnic communities, health reform and the aging, and more.

Featured speakers include Donna Shalala, president of the University of Miami and former secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, and David Kessler, former commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration.
