Anne Mergen: Florida Cartoons

Join the members of the South Florida Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists on August 3rd as we take a tour of Anne Mergen: Florida Cartoons at the Historical Museum of Southern Florida. The exhibit will display over two dozen of Mergen’s original cartoon renderings from the Great Depression through the Cold War.

The tour begins at 2 p.m. The day will also include a tour of the museum’s Interama exhibit. Interama was an Epcot-type project that was planned, but never built, for the site where FIU’s north campus (including the J-School) is today. The exhibit title is “Interama: Miami and the Pan-American Dream.”

Dinner will be held after the tour at Casablanca Seafood Bar and Grill, 404 NW North River Drive.

The Historical Museum of Southern Florida is located at 101 West Flagler St., Miami.
