First Amendment Foundation 2015 Sunshine Seminars
It’s that time again! FAF is hitting the road for its annual Sunshine Seminars. These informative and interactive one-day seminars are perfect for anyone needing to brush up on the law or those just learning it by providing an overview of Florida’s public records and public meetings requirements.
The seminars are helpful for citizens and members of the media who use public records as well as for agency employees who are required to stay current on the law. The seminars meet the training requirement of Section 112.3142 of the Florida Statutes which requires all constitutional officers and elected municipal officials to receive annual open government training.
The cost to attend the seminars is $20 for FAF members and $25 for League of Women Voters and SPJ members. The fee for employees of our hosts and students with a proper ID is $10. The fee for non-members is $35. Continuing Legal Education credit (CLE) is available for an additional $50 fee. IIMC, FACC, FBCI and FCRM Continuing Education credits are available for an additional $10.
