Florida First Amendment Foundation Tours State With Sunshine Seminars
SPJ Florida is proud to once again partner with the Florida First Amendment Foundation in presenting its annual Sunshine Seminars.
The foundation travels the state educating journalists and advocates of the First Amendment with half-day seminar. This year, the League of Women Voters also joined as a host organization.
“We’re in great company in this year’s line up of Sunshine Seminars,” said SPJ Florida President Christiana Lilly. “With it being a midterm year, it’s especially important for the public to be educated about the First Amendment and Sunshine Laws.”
Stopping in six cities–Deerfield Beach, St. Petersburg, Naples, Orlando, Jacksonville, and Tallahassee–the foundation will be discussing open government, the First Amendment and media law, an overview of the Sunshine Laws, and a legislative update.
Tickets are $10 for students, $20 for foundation members, $25 for host organization members, and $35 for non-members. For CLE credit, cost is $50 and CE credit is additional $10.
As a friend of SPJ Florida, you can get your tickets at the host organization price! For more information about the seminars, call 850-224-4555 or email info@floridafaf.org.
