Green Eyeshade Awards
The nation’s oldest regional journalism contest – and one of the oldest in the world – celebrates its 74th year in 2024.
The Green Eyeshades honor pro and college journalism in a dozen states comprising the Deep South. Originally a joint effort between SPJ chapters in Florida and Georgia, management of the contest passed to SPJ Florida three years ago, by vote of the boards in both states.
