Digital Marketing Specialist
UPI’s Digital Marketing Specialist will work with the Director of Digital Business to promote and maintain UPI’s image across all digital platforms with the goal of increasing brand awareness and generating new revenues through digital and licensing opportunities.
Make frequent posts to UPI’s primary social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) adhering to UPI style and make recommendations on how best to take advantage of new features offered by each service.
Identify Newsworthy trends on social media and alert editorial team to potential story ideas for UPI.com.
Assist editorial team on breaking news and special news events to facilitate use of social media and actively promote developments as they happen.
Provide Digital Business Manager with monthly analytics reports on social reach and growth.
Update UPI.com’s about section with the latest company information and product offerings for the purpose of generating new business through digital partnerships and licensing opportunities.
-Advanced knowledge, experience and active participation with major social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat and more.
-Experience with content management systems, reporting and analytics tools.
-Creative thinking with strong editorial judgment, research skills and attention to detail a must.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and video editing a plus.
Flexible schedule with ability to work some early mornings, late evenings, and occasional weekends covering major news events.
A passion for news, current events and photojournalism.
