Join SPJ Florida at the Fall Sunshine Seminars

Not sure how to get access to the information you need for a story? Having trouble with fees associated with public information requests?

Get some help and a better understanding of the Florida public information laws at the Florida First Amendment Foundation’s Fall Sunshine Seminars.

This year, SPJ Florida will once again be sponsoring the events and we would love to see you there. All the information about dates, location and how to register is below.

Being informed about the access laws in Florida will arm you with information about what you are entitled to obtain as a member of the public. Knowing your rights, will help you when officials push back and will help you get the information you need to tell the stories your community cares about.

For SPJ Florida members the cost is $10, non-members $25. Members should choose the FAF member option and put SPJ member in the member ID # spot.

• October 21, 2013 – Miami

• October 22, 2013 – Stuart

• October 23, 2013 – Daytona Beach
