Journalism Holiday Bash

Sources giving you the cold shoulder? Or maybe your deadlines are giving you some heat? For one night, we’re helping you escape.

On Dec. 15, SPJ Florida is co-sponsoring the annual Journalism Holiday Bash alongside the South Florida NAHJ, ONA and Black Journalists Association chapters.

And because we had to make things interesting, we’re hosting it at Drinkhouse Fire & Ice, Miami’s first Ice Vodka Bar and Experimental Cocktail Fire Lounge. What does that mean? An excuse to wear a parka in South Florida and get more than a “Florida Winter” for a change.

Holiday Bash tickets will include a discounted Ice Bar rate of $12, which gets you a parka, hat, gloves and a drink. From there, you can warm up in the Fire Lounge with special spirits. We’ll also have complimentary bites and drink tickets for the first 25 attendees.

The funds collected from the mixer will benefit journalists in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
