SPJ South Florida members are invited to register for an upcoming workshop that can help journalists create engaging interactive journalism from the ground up. Code with Me: Miami is a two-day workshop on Feb. 2 and 3 at the University of Miami that will teach absolute beginners the basics of working with HTML, CSS and Javascript.

Code With Me is designed by journalists Sisi Wei (Propublica) and Tom Giratikanon (New York Times) specifically to teach journalists how to develop. With their leadership and the support of local and national journalist mentors, you’ll play games and build your own interactive project to gain a foundation of coding knowledge that can keep you programming back on your beat.
Registration opens Thursday, Jan. 24 at 9 a.m. Space is extremely limited to ensure each participant receives personal attention throughout the workshop, so sign up early.
