MA13: MediAtlanta In Review

The first of the SPJ Spring Conferences for 2013, Region 3 hosted MediAtlanta at Georgia State University March 15 – 16, 2013.

Co-sponsored by SPJ South Florida, college and professional journalists from all over the region (Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Alabama) joined together for the two-day conference.

Three three-hour workshops were hosted on Friday, March 15 — two of the presenters were SPJ South Florida board members: Immediate past-president Michele Boyet and Secretary Cassie Morien. The third, Regional Director Michael Koretzky, is also a current member and past president of the chapter. Four more sessions on Saturday, March 16, were presented by current SPJ South Florida board members — Boyet, Morien, Vice President Gideon Grudo and Director Christopher Persaud — and two more by former board members/current chapter members, Koretzky and former Student Representative Karla Bowsher.
