Our Speaker:   Julie Kay, chair of the national Legal Defense Fund for the Society of Professional Journalists, will speak on the important work of the LDF in providing legal funds for journalists and of the importance for a federal shield law.

Kay is the president of the South Florida chapter of SPJ. She is the Florida bureau chief of the National Law Journal and the Florida consultant for C-SPAN. Kay has been a journalist in South Florida for many years, working for the Miami Herald, the Daily Business Review and the Palm Beach Post.
