Speaker Series to Feature Prominent Journalists

Broward College is presenting its inaugural Fort Lauderdale Speaker Series this season and will feature prominent journalists including publisher Steve Forbes, Watergate reporter Bob Woodward, former CNN host Soledad O’Brien and former gossip columnist for MSNBC.com Jeannette Walls. The series will take place at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The other speakers include Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., presidential historian Michael Beschloss, and son of famed ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau, Jean-Michael Cousteau.

The series kicks off with Steve Forbes 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 23. SPJ Florida is a co-sponsor of the series and SPJ members will receive a 10 percent discount on tickets. Tickets are being sold in packages of 3, 5 or 7 ranging in price from $165 to $755 depending on the seating. SPJ members should use the code ‘Bus13’ when ordering.
