Ethics Hold ‘em
Friday, 4 p.m. and Saturday, 1 p.m.
Gamble your ethics away, and learn something while you’re at it. Ethics Hold ’em is the journalistic twist on the seven-card game that has led many astray. It works a lot like regular Texas Hold ’em, except the cards are laced with the Society of Professional Journalists Code of Ethics, each card listing a different rule. Find a pair, win some chips. Spot a pair, win some chips. Through paying attention to the ethics and discussing them throughout the game, Ethics Hold ‘em has become a proven educational, and risky, way to promote journalistic ethics. The winner of each game will receive at $25 Amazon giftcard!
>>Games hosted by SPJ national student rep & SPJ SoFla student board member @GideonGrudo
