SPJ Florida Hosting Freelance Fair on April 25
Looking for more freelance gigs? Publications from all across South Florida will be here, in need of writers, designers, photographers, and other talented journalists.
That includes the Miami Herald, Boca Raton magazine, Gulfstream Media Group, The New Tropic, South Florida Gay News, Fort Lauderdale magazine, Debt.com, Newsmax, and a whole bunch of other online and print companies.
Plus, did you know freelancers have to file their taxes FOUR times a year? Are you writing off enough expenses? At 2:30 p.m., head over to our tax seminar where a specialist will answer all of your questions about filing as a contracted employee.
Don’t forget your business cards—not only is it a great networking opportunity, we’ll be holding a raffle too!

Does SPJ hold Freelance Fairs in other parts of Florida and are they useful for copy editors, too? I live in Sarasota and am mostly looking for freelance editing and proofreading.
