This year SPJ Florida partnered with the South Florida Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists in order to add Spanish-Language award categories.
“This is a just a natural continuation of our growing relationship with NAHJ,” said SPJ Florida President Jason Parsley. “We’re excited to once again partner with them as well as offer new categories that recognize the excellent journalism taking place here in the state.”
SPJ Florida and NAHJ are also thankful for the generous support of this year’s sponsors who include Toyota, Bacardi, Miami Beach Botanical Garden and National Hotel. Without their support this event would not be possible.
“For the first time NAHJ South Florida and SPJ teamed up to include Spanish-Language media award categories for journalists. Dozens of NAHJ members from across the Sunshine State were recognized for their hard work and dedication to journalism,” said NAHJ South Florida President Suzette Laboy. “The new Spanish-language media awards were a huge success due to the fantastic collaboration with both associations.”
SPJ Florida will hold its annual election directly following the event. Click here for more details.
